June 22nd, 2011 Welcome back... I started this blog almost two years ago in Los Angeles, just before I became pregnant with our first child. Morning sickness and a new job sidelined my zest for cooking and then mommy-hood made my focus shift considerably...I still so many times wanted to make it back here, to share a great recipe....like a comforting friend I missed.... I now find myself sitting in Franklin, TN just outside of Nashville....with a lovely little girl taking a nap down the hall, rain and thunder rattling outside and a husband who any minute will peek his head in and ask what’s for dinner?. My original intent of Kindred Cookbook was to chronicle my culinary adventures....using my travels, family traditions and latest obsessions as inspiration...As I settle into a whole new life away from the city, somehow the world created by my little family seems enough to discover for now...I am now endeavoring to create new traditions and to never stop trying new things! xoxo Dev
